Hello Doreen:
To suppress the display of a page number on the first page of your document
press Alt-D to Open the Documents menu. Then press N to activate the page
numbering dialog. Then tab over to the "first page number to display" control,
and change the value "1" to "2" or whatever page number for the page where you
want to start having numbers displayed. Then hit the OK button to close the
dialog. Since page numbering settings are stored in the document you'll need
to save the document to save the updated page numbering settings.
