No better handle on that but one giggle. If you are writing print roman
page v (5) or roman page x (10) you don't have to type in a code. The
letter sign will kick in automatically to indicate that the grade two
contraction is not meant. Conversely, if you want to prevent a letter sign
from apearing in roman numerals v or x (5 or 10) substitute the word very
or the word it for the roman numeral. Of course, don't do this if your
ultimate docuent is ever to be inkprinted. Also, another thing, if you
want to prevent a letter sign from appearing, the double slash with no
space in front of the word in question does the job nicely. Again, this
works only if the version is not going to be inkprinted. The double
slashes would show in the inkprint. They do not show in the braille.
