Choose "Generic Text only". Also, in Duxbury itself, you can choose it from the list of embossers. You'll be able to use it as a braille printer with K1000 as a generic text option, and within DBT as a Versapoint. If it doesn't work that way, it will work as a 'generic text' printer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "kathleen g. lueders" <kgl8048@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 09, 2004 1:14 AM Subject: [duxuser] DOCUMENT SENT TO VERSAPOINT EMBOSSER Hello Listers, I have an old VersaPoint embosser. When I send a document to the embosser, the printer does not Braille, although the embosser is connected and turned on. It seems that my PC is sending it to the Kurzweille virtual printer. When I look at my start menu, settings, printers, the VersaPoint is not there. Of course, when I try to add a printer, the VersaPoint name does not appear in the 76 choices. Would I choose generic printer? Is there another suggestion anyone might share with me as to why I am unable to emboss a document sent by Duxbury? My VersaPoint does show up in Duxbury's global settings. Thank you. Kathleen G.
