Good Afternoon,

I am attempting to create practice reading assignments for my adult and young
adult Braille students. For example, I want to write up a page dealing with
the capital sign and the period. When the signs are introduced, the character
is preceded by a full cell so that the student knows that the dot(s) begin in
the lower part of the cell. How do you represent this so that it embosses
correctly? Any otherr tips for creating worksheets would be helpful.

Hi Barrie,

Rule 5.10.1 states - "When an expression in grade 1 mode would be equivalent to
the same text in grade 2 mode because no contractions would occur, a grade 1
indicator may be used although it is not required.".

These are often tricky things to deal with.

George

Hi,

I am using Duxbury 11.2 SR4.

When using UEB, stuttering does not translate correctly.
s-s-s-snake appears the same in UEB or EBAE.
There is not the double grade 1 indicator at the beginning as there should be .

Do I need to upgrade or...?

Thanks,
Barrie
