Dear Susan, I wouldn't recommend opening a file from Windows Explorer because the file won't look right--it will have missing data. But if I open the file with DBT loaded, the data will all be there. I can open files using Windows Explorer and other programs and the files will open correctly, but, for some unknown reason, DBT won't work. Terri, Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA. Duxbury launched when I chose to open the file instead of saving it, and offered some options. You didn't miss anything. If you are trying to open the file, Windows will want to know what program you want to use; apparently Duxbury is chosen by default. Am I confusing you? Actually any time I try to open any formatted braille file it appears blank. Any suggestions for me to try? discoverychest@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Toyfully Yours, Candi Smith "play is the work of children, and toys are their tools!"
