In my opinion, this whole discussion is a bit premature.
This issue should wait until BANA issues a press release, so we could all
learn more details.
As George says, this unifies braille in the United States with the rest of
the English speaking world.
UEB makes it much easier to figure out what the inkprint was when you read
the braille.
In terms of literary code, there is remarkably little that is changed. A
small handful of especially
ambiguous braille contractions will be phased out.
But beyond this, let us wait for more details
