Hey! Hardy, did I see that you will judging at the In Harmony trials in
Rhode Island this spring??  Are you planning to be on the east coast for any
legth of time... maybe doing some clinics...while you are here???
  just a thought On the pole length issue - for a moment, picture a single
racing trotting standardbred. see their rear heel, when they are at full
steam? it is kicking out, below the driver's seat. could the
conformation/stride be the issue wi the Stdbrd pair - they are not huge
horses, but have a surprisingly long stride, even at standard trot.  If this
is the case, do you just have to move the pole out to accomodate the stride
length?
  & a whole diff topic - do any/many of you drive pair to a sleigh??
  nancy in NH... What more snowflake & I am hooking up the team & driving
south!!
