I have a telescoping pole so I can pull it out for dressage and push it in for hazards. Not an option you will find on a wood carraige but you may be able to have someone make a metal pole to work. Not sure about the width of the Eagle (this goes on wheel track not body) but the marathon carraiges are more definately more compact. I'm no expert on pole length but I'm sure you can inquire of any carriage builder. If you bought it new- I would go back to the Stoltsfusses (SP) and ask for it to be replaced. In addition to body length, perhaps you can measure the stride at the longest in some footprints for a more accurate fit.
