I've tidied a few things up and sent it along in a patch.
It is still fairly basic and probably will work wonderfully for someone
who knows what they are doing, less well for its target audience. It
would be really handy if someone could add javascript validation for the
form.
A couple of notes about it:
- it checks for an unchanged conf/dokuwiki.php by generating an md5 hash
of the file and comparing its value to known values of release versions
of the file. An new hash will need to be added for every release.
- its english and doesn't make any concessions for internationalisation.
