If there is an easy way to generate and use these test files (I would

I don't think implementing them in parallel is a good idea, you should
plan one thing as the first one and the other as the second one. I would
have planned the backend stuff as the first step in order to be able to
integrate that with Selenium as a second step, but that's up to you.
