Have you or your clients ever heard of NTFS security, or sharing
security? It's extremely good, and there are no known attacks. You
simply need to designate exactly which domain accounts have exactly what
access.

Do you have any idea how much work is needed to do it using TCP/IP? Do
you have any experience with Midas and the Socket Server that supports
Midas? That would be the easiest choice if you MUST write a
client/server piece. However, deployment is hard, and it's less secure
than NTFS security on a shared folder. Further, it's more likely to have
bugs that need to be fixed because this kind of code involves more
complexity.

Hi,

That is exactly my problem. Our Clients today do not
share any drive/folder, because of virus threats over
the Internet. Therefore UNC paths are not useable.
Any advice?

regards
Allan
