Why not just specify a UNC pathname? It's much easier than using
sockets.

If you need to go across a firewall that doesn't give you UNC access you
might be forced to use a socket, but I don't think you have that
problem?

Subject: [delphizip] Gone are the days of Sharing Folders

Hi,

I am zipping data across the network
ie: from Machine-1=20
c:\*.abc directly into
\\Machine-2\Shared-folder\xyz.zip

Is it possible to use sockets for the same ie: thru a
Tcp/Ip port.

I use D5 and ZipMaster

Regards
Allan
