Yes, it uses Mackie and HUI protocols, so it should work with most major daws.
The drivers are probably cross platform, as one of the demo videos was done
using logic.

And you know that I'm going to ask does the Behringer touch work with logic or
ProTools under the Mac

Hey Phil, I just checked out this demo. My ears are buzzing. Does this
software work with several surface controllers?
BTW, I found the Touch X for $599.00.

Hi Phil, thanks for answering my unasked question ;) . I was
wondering about open sound support. Is there a page where I can read
about the reader app? Just wondering if it's like Tim's surface
reader, or if it's something different.
Regards, DJX

Aah but you are talking about the BCF2000 which for the money isn't
bad although the motorised faders on it are a wee bit noisy where as
the X-touch has very quiet motorised faders and tons of buttons so you
don't have to use multiple keystrokes to achieve the same thing on the
X-touch as it has dedicated buttons for EQ etc.
Yes Behrenger did have issues however they have purchased some great
hi end UK companies such as Midas who know how to build great concels
and KLARK TEKNIK who build excellent affects and the people who worked
for those companies are now working for Behrenger which means we now
have some great audio pree-amps, and mixing concels such as the X32
which you can get with Midas pre-amps in. Further more the X32 and
X-touch are Open Sound Control compatible so when used in conjunction
with Can's non screen redder dependent application you will end up
with a talking Behrenger X32 and you can access all features such as solo,
mute affects etc.
