Lol ok. Yes I'm aware that Behringer is now music group, so expecting better
things to come from them.

It uses Mackie and the sliders are excellent and really quiet. No not
used one here but know of several people who use these and they tell me they
are a fantastic surface. Comparing the X-Touch with the BCF2000 is like
comparing chalk and cheese. Very different animal's altogether.

, have you used the X-touch personally? How's the build quality, mainly the
sliders? Also, is it emulating Mackie, or did they develop their own
protocol/Control API?

James. Save your money and get either a Behringer X-Touch or FaderPort 8.
No need to spend extra on the Mackie as you will get the same functionality
with either of the above-mentioned surfaces. Note: don't get any of the lower
behrenger surfaces such as the Behringer X-Touch Mini or Behringer X-Touch
Compact as they are not accessible.

Hi Floyd, If you don't mind me asking, what was the price of your Mackie Pro
control surface?
I saw one on Dancing Dots web site, and I heard $900.5.
So I'm in the comparing stage of things.
Best:
James

Hi James,
Don't know what your price range is and don't know how well it would work with
Samplitude but I have the Mackie Pro control surface running on Sonar and love
it.
It has way more features than I use but works great...

Sonar and Samplitude. I'm running Jaws 16, and have a Safire Pro 40
fire wire interface. I'm trying to get away from my tired old mixer
that is giving me a heart attack.
Thanks.
