Hi Mark, There are better Digital Pianos than the Kork sP250 but they cost much more. The Hammer action of the Korg Sp200 is very fast and nicely waited considering it's not an actual waited Action. It is Fantastic for live work as it is not too heavy and is incredibly durable. It doesn't have the greatest of Piano sounds but that isn't what Andy was asking for!
The difference between the Kork sP200 and the Kork sP250 is: the Kork SP200 has a metal casing and doesn't have speakers. The Korg SP250 has a plastic casing and has Speakers. Both are 88 note but the SP250 is slightly shorter in length. Steve W----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Dew" <jmkeybd1@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I hope so, I had the Korg sp200 and it was awful. Kept it one week. At 02:55 PM 9/23/2009 +0100, you wrote:Hi, The Kork Sp250 is very narrow considering it has 88 full size Notes. It has one long speaker across the whole of the length so has you strike a note you hear it in almost the place your Finger is located, (just like a hammer hitting the strings). The hammer action is quite good, and it has 30 Voices, Pianos, Organs, Strings and they too are quite good. very reasonably priced. I don't need any (and I mean "any!") bells and whistles (except maybe external speakers), but just good functionality and a good price is sufficient for my needs. All I really need is MIDI signal transmission. Portability is a huge PLUS! Any suggestions?
