Hi,

The Kork Sp250 is very narrow considering it has 88 full size Notes.
It has one long speaker across the whole of the length so has you strike a note you hear it in almost the place your Finger is located, (just like a hammer hitting the strings). The hammer action is quite good, and it has 30 Voices, Pianos, Organs, Strings and they too are quite good.

very reasonably priced.

Subject: [ddots-l] Simple 88-key MIDI controller

Friends,
I am looking into buying a small (desk-space sensitive), simple, 76-key MIDI controller for my computer. I don't need any (and I mean "any!") bells and whistles (except maybe external speakers), but just good functionality and a good price is sufficient for my needs. All I really need is MIDI signal transmission. Portability is a huge PLUS!
   Any suggestions?
   Yours truly,
   Andy
