Winy,
To add to my de-esser stuff, using a multi-band compressor with a side-chain input can allow you to only compress the problem area you targetted with the EQ, instead of a single band compressor that affects all frequencies. The EQ gives the problem area a boost and the multi-band compressor acts just on that problem area. The LP64 Multi-band compressor in Sonar Producer is one such multi-band compressor.
