It's been a while since I've done it, but press utility, f5, sf4, up arrow
and left arrow a few times to make sure you are at top left of screen, and
that's the first setting, so press the yes/increase button to set the MIDI
to USB. As soon as you change it, if you presss the keys, the motif will
start sending out of the USB port. So if it's already selected in your daw
and your daw is open with a MIDI track listening, the keys you press should
come back to you through your DAW; this is a quick way to test. If you want
to save the setting for future uses (so they're not lost after power off),
press the store ke. I can't remember for sure, but think you might have to
press enter or the inc/yes key.

Subject: [ddots-l] OT changing midi on Motif ES

Hello,

Can someone tell me how to change the midi settings on the motif ES? I want
to change from using an outboard interface to the USB to host ports from the
Motif to my computer. My outboard interface is not working as designed with
a new computer. I need to see if a straight plug in via USB will give me the
same results. I am totally blind, so I will need the names of the buttons
pushed and the number of times to arrow to get the USB selection.

Many Thanks,

Grant
