Ole,
        when you say that the iPod won't work the conventional way with
iTunes, what does that mean?  Tuens you buy from the iTunes Music Sore
can't be played on other players.  What happens to them?

the problem when modifying the software in the I pod is that you will
lose 
all warrentee rights at that point should your unit not work while you
are 
in that period of coverage.
