OT Does anyone know which USB2.0 portable drives are suitable for recording
audio?Kevin:
You are better off with firewire. I have a 40gb external portable drive that
is both. I haven't tried using it as an audio drive though. I should do an
a/b comparison to see if the results are the same as usb and firewire.

The subject line says it all. Does anyone know of a USB 2.0 drive that's
suitable for real time audio recording? None of the drives I've seen show a
sustained transfer rate or an RPm or any other stat that would suggest its
suitability for sound recording. Any help would be grately appreciated.

  Thanks,
  Kevin
