I never just use the ALT key for menus. I use ALT F for File or ALT
E for Edit, etc. As such, I guess I shouldn't have this problem, right?
I guess I'll go ahead with JAWS 7 on my new DAW.

It happens as follows:
press alt to get the menu bar.
if you now use right or left arrow you get the message.
If you do say word you'll hear the item you should have heard, or at
least part of it.
If you down or up arrow, things work as usual, no trouble there.
It's otherwise ok.
