Kevin:
You are better off with firewire.  I have a 40gb external portable drive
that is both.  I haven't tried using it as an audio drive though.  I
should do an a/b comparison to see if the results are the same as usb
and firewire.

The subject line says it all.  Does anyone know of a USB 2.0 drive
that's suitable for real time audio recording?  None of the drives I've
seen show a sustained transfer rate or an RPm or any other stat that
would suggest its suitability for sound recording.  Any help would be
grately appreciated.
