Simple internal sound cards are no longer made. The only PCI/PCIE stuff now is
very high end.
The only simple/inexpensive stuff is USB or Firewire.

hi Brian and others.
What would you guys recommend for an internal card, something like the M-audio
2496? I have one under XP, and really, all I'm doing with it is sending S/PDIF
direct to my Mytek DAC. It works great for that; extremely low latency and of
course the external DAC does all the real work.
Is there another fairly simple card like that which I can get for the new Win7
machine?
