What system are you getting? Most onboard cards now come with optical and
are very good if you mean for regular use.

hi Brian and others.
What would you guys recommend for an internal card, something like the
M-audio 2496? I have one under XP, and really, all I'm doing with it is
sending S/PDIF direct to my Mytek DAC. It works great for that; extremely
low latency and of course the external DAC does all the real work.
Is there another fairly simple card like that which I can get for the new
Win7 machine?
