We are currently working on two books (hundreds of pages and hundreds of images) We are using an ARMini networked to a Macbook, and three IBM compatible boxes - two with XP and each with two HDD (largest in each of 400Gb) and one with Win7 with two 2Tb drives. My wife has some images on different drives. If all drives are not switched on and accessible the OPro doc does as you describe. Retreats to the corner of the screen and complains. My book, due to drives filling, has sections on two different machines and does the same thing if one machine is not on. With the acquisition of the big drives things will be rationalised - so far it has just got bigger and bigger with drives added on. Yeah! I know! We should be better organised! ;-) Too difficult to change mid-stream. Once these books are off to the printer we can rationalise things.
