Thanks Clive but I forgot to mention that the text is in a frame/box
and when I <left click> at the beginning of the bit I want to
highlight, <right click> at the end the first letter of the word
produces a four point compass that the moves the frame. If I go to the
second letter it works OK and drags along the words in the normal way.
