Replying to an email in another thread this morning prompted me to check the 
Windows mouse settings ...

Windows 7/Fusion 3 ... I had Mouse properties>Pointer Options>Enhance pointer 
precision TICKED. If that option is UNTICKED, then the slowdown in drag speed 
within an OPW window is much less noticeable.

Windows XP/Parallels Desktop ... the state of <Enhance pointer precision> 
appears to make no difference to mouse drag speed (there is no noticeable 
slowdown either way).
