Ian, Except to say that I'd write "Open source" as two words, it read easier. :-D Also closed source also leaves you at the mercy of a developer deciding not to develop the software any further hence becoming legacy software. Think of the amount of ms-dos software still being used because therw is no windows alternative or the software developer not longer in existance.
