In the elevator at work this afternoon, a colleague called my attention to this 
article from The Atlantic (8 April), "The Death of an Adjunct."

Thea Hunter was a friend. I first met her at the "grading factory" (Taylorized 
AP History exam-grading job) in 2005...

She deserved a lot better.
