While anything is possible here the likelihood of the Red Wing NOT
stopping at St. J. seems faint, to me. It was the only major station between
WRJ and Newport, exchanging mail with both the MEC and St. J. & L. C., though
this was about the last year of that with the latter. Then, too, in all the
hundreds of photos of St. J. I've seen over the years I have yet to see one
with a mail crane in it or, for that matter, a yard and track diagram showing
the location of same. I'm not stating that your friend is absolutely wrong,
Dan, but am suggesting that there is a high probability of it.
