Craig,
Units 4052, 4053 and 4104 were painted into the script maroon & grey scheme. I
don't believe that they were done after the action red was adopted but I could
be wrong. Check the book "The Crow and the Kettle" by John Garden for photos.
of these engines and the dates taken. I don't have access to my copy right now.

To the best of my knowledge and recollection, none of the C-Liners were
repainted after the action red scheme was adopted.
They were starting to look a little shabby by the time the last of them were
retired in 1975.

I was unclear. What I meant was that I thought that some of the C-Liners
were painted in Tuscan after the introduction of Action Red. Thus in theory,
they should have been painted action red, yet instead were painted in Tuscan
after the official introduction of Action red.
