Please recheck the date of your drawings as 1927
seems improbable in the context of G3e or later
Pacifics aside from H1c+ or T1b+ models.
Thanks!

According to the stencil drawings I have, G3efghj
and standard lettering
from 1927, indicate that passenger locos get
pinstripes and gold leaf;
freight get no pinstripes and imitation gold.
Window frames and sashes are
painted tuscan red. The G3 drawing indicate that
blocks of locomotives were
painted for freight or passenger service. I could
post those numbers if
you're interested. Drawings for Royal Hudsons and
T1bc's indicate that gold
leaf was used.
