A bit more on the 5408:
I saw and photo'd the front-ends of five CPR 5400's inside
the Winnipeg roundhouse on August 25, 1960. They were the
5408, 5434, 5435, 5444 and 5471, and there may have been
more locos that I did not photo. I believe that they were
at that time stored serviceable.
I'm not sure if the 5408 operated after it was "Tied Up
Serviceable" at Weston in Ray's listings (below), but it was
definitely residing inside the CPR roundhouse in Winnipeg in
August of 1960.
