I vaguely recall (although I can't remember any details) of some consideration
being given to converting the CP Express building into some sort of passenger
terminal for high speed trains from Montreal. The idea was that the high
platforms would complement those at Montreal's Central Station and facilitate
loading and unloading. I can't recall where I heard (or read) this but if
anyone can flesh it out a bit more, it would be appreciated.

The platforms were certainly not used for any regular function in the
1976-1982 period, but I have vague recollections of once or twice, perhaps
later in that period, of seeing cars parked in one of the tracks for a couple
of weeks. I think there was some thought of leasing the tracks to store GO
Trains during the day but don't think that idea went anywhere. I believe the
tracks were part of CPR rather than the TTR. I left Toronto at the beginning
of 1983 so have no idea of subsequent activity, if any.
