The building was vacant and nothing handled on the tracks.

Hi all,
I have managed to fit a much-reduced version of the CP Express building
adjacent to Union Station onto my layout track plan.
I'm modelling 1979-1980.
What were the activities around this building at that time? If it was served
by a local freight, where did that local freight come from and where did it
go? Typical power? Type of rolling stock?
VIA was by then operating all of the ex-CP passenger trains in Toronto, so
did VIA use the platforms for loading sealed baggage cars? I have a vague
recollection of seeing a CN black and grey baggage car parked at the freight
platforms at the east end of the building in 1980. It was definitely a
baggage car, but I may be imagining that it was CN.
In the early 1990s when it was no longer used I spent many hours in that
building. There were plenty of VIA 4-wheel baggage carts sitting around.
Thanks in advance,
Jason
