There is a book about Van Horne “From Telegrapher to Titan” by Valerie Knowles.
The author says, describing the funeral train “In homage to him, all traffic on
the system was suspended at an appointed hour”
The date of the funeral was Tuesday Sept. 14, 1915. The funeral train left
Montreal at 11:00 am for Joliet Illinois where he was to be buried.
