The Canadian Trackside Guide lists 1547 as being capable
of 65 mph. Also, I've come across a closeup cab shot of 1578
in the current lettering with DRS-17 class designation. I'd
post a link but don't who the photographer is nor where I
got it.
And thanks Paul for your comments, while the caption on 1602
claims they are spark arrestors but the devices appear far
more complex.

something like 10 or more years ago, in southern Ontario. They did not get
