Hi, All,

I spoke to CMH today, and it is much as I expected: the 3 chpt meeing
depends largley on your committee. Technically, the meeting as two parts.
First, the commitee reviews your writing, gives suggestions, criticisms, and
praise. Second, they ask you about the reading list, presumably to see not
only if you'd read it, but how it fits into your work. Both parts are
represented on a form which the comittee fills out. To what extent your
committee asks you about the reading list (if at all) depends on them.
Apparently, different profs treat this very differently. So, ask your
director what role it will play in your meeting.

Length also depends on your director, but several profs have told me 75-100
pages is the mark.

As of this writing, the student has no paperwork to fill out for this
meeting, just the profs. But, depedning on who your director is, you may
want to follow up to be sure he or she filed said paperwork.

Hope this helps!
Amy
