In our work, we have found a range of roles for coaches.
One is certainly support and emotional modulation. Sometimes this can be
helpful in a six way meeting. That really depends on how much support and
clarity a client needs provided from outside his/her own self.
Another, is coming up to the task. More like the role described for other
kinds of executive coaching. In this role, the coach works also to help
identify and eliminate emotional obstacles to working collaboratively towards
the
best solutions for the family, especially for the kids.
Third, our team has found, sometimes, the coaches with the clients work out
the child arrangements and bring that solution to the lawyers for final
agreement.
