I strongly urge you to attend the Forum. There is nothing like it. You will get
to meet Collaborative professionals from around the world and you will learn
how others are doing things in their communities. You cannot help but leave the
Forum a better Collaborative professional. In fact, I usually leave a better
person. I hope to see you in Vancouver, especially since it is so close to your
home. BTW, I took my 3 month old to a conference in 1986. She did great and
there has always been a link between her and the organization that put on the
conference. Something to think about.

Subject: Re: [CollabLaw] CNBC Article on Collaborative
I've been a collaborative attorney since 2001 but have never been to a Forum.
Was also a single dad, raising two kids, and didn't feel I could take the time
to fly off somewhere. Now the kids are grown. My wife is expecting (her first),
but there are two of us so, God willing, I will be in Vancouver, which is just
north of our home in Bellingham, Washington. Hopefully my wife, who is a
psychologist and one of the MHPs in our collaborative community, will join me,
in which case our son, Jared, who is due to arrive in late July, will (God
willing) be there too. We'll see how my wife feels about that. I'm hoping to
get many from our community to turn out. Having the Forum this close is a huge
opportunity for us as individuals and for our community.
