Steve is playing the Assassin. I'm Matt and I'm playing Yeldroon. I'm not going
to change the character I'm playing right now, because Yeldroon is another
character I've been dying to use, and his background fits eerily well within
Casey's campaign world. 4th Ed finally allows Minotaurs to be a feasible
playable race (Although the other character was also a Minotaur. Not the
original concept when it was 3.5 though. He was originally going to be a
Skra'ang. Might still go that route next time since I'm playing Yeldroon and I
don't like playing too simliar of a character twice in a row).

I'm just saying for the future, that NEXT time I'm not being the Healer, and
I'm using the character I've built twice over now. I'd like to at least try a
different archetype at SOME point in my career. That whole e-mail was just me
grumbling for grumbling's sake because I was feeling particularly cranky that
night. There isn't a need for anyone to change what they're playing right now,
honest.

The real point of the e-mail was just to voice my rather sour outlook on a 4th
Ed game with few to no magic items. While with 3.5 I have little to no problems
with just forgetting magic items entirely, I just don't think it should be done
with 4th Ed. The entire system is built so that Magic Items are now just as
integral to a character's progress as Feats, Skills and Power selection. It
just kinda veered off from there because by that point I just needed to vent
and the only way I can do that is to find something to complain about.

Well, Steve really ought to be allowed to play the character he wants
o play.
We still need a primary healer though.
I would be willing to redo Berrian as a Warlord ("Oh, you're just
nconscious, it isn't so bad, get up and fight on my good man!" - and
e does). But I've not played a leader/healer type so won't
ecessarily be very good at it; and I have to give a serious twist to
he concept I started the character with.
Anyone else willing and thinking they'd be a better choice?
And, Steve, what do you want Yeldroon to be? It would make a certain
mount of sense to move a character from the role you want to move
nto...
(All pending Casey's approval of course. I'd like us to put together
complete package quickly so, if he approves it, he has time to make
ny adjustments to next weekend's game that he thinks are needed. Or
lternatively, delay the change until the session after
hanksgiving.)
