 Hello everyone,
We are making major progress on this latest version of Scary Land. However, there are just some issues I will address here to let you all know how things are going. 1. I have been trying a program which can run Adrift text adventures called Scare. The main concern for us is that the functionality of the battle system is not yet fully supported in the program. The battle system is a core part of Scary Land, as you all probably know. As a result, I am working towards converting the game to work with Inform so it can be compiled to work with other interpreters. 2. If we make a version of the game using Inform, we would need to somehow find a way to check if Orca would read in other interpreters available for games created with Inform. There is always going to be an audio edition available that people will be able to run under Wine until I can find a program to create it under Linux. I would hate to do it this way, but we're always going to have that option available. I've got an update to come to Scary Land 1.4, but I will add that in a later message.
