Hi all,
We have confirmation that MIT will be open to hosting events in the fall!
We have a space at 300 Technology Square close to the parking garage that can
hold up to 50. I’m told Tuesday and Thursdays would be best as far as
scheduling. We can provide catering and AV support, and any kind of
COVID-related logistical support if needed.
For folks that are interested in participating, some questions:
What would be most convenient as far as timing, especially if folks are coming
from a slightly longer distance? Middle of the day? Late afternoon into
evening?
Would you be willing to offer a talk for the group (or organize a talk or
comparable activity)?
Also, I’m perfectly happy to have help with organizing if anyone is interested

Glad to hear there is interest so far. Certainly, we could plan for New England
area!
I’m not quite sure yet what the guidance will be for capacity either, but we do
know MIT is planning to return to work in the fall, and many of the
restrictions will be eased.

I'd be interested too. Not sure what is the guidance on capacity. But coming
from UMass Amherst, I wonder if we can make it a New England event to include
folks from Worcester, Providence, Lowell and others in the area.
