If yhou've been approved as a volunteer, you can
validate, in the meantime. If you find a book on the
download list you'd like to read, you'll be doing
both. And you get to keep the book you're validating,
after you finish and upload it, which mean is won't
count against your membership -- and you also get 50
cents (not enough, we all agree) toward your next
year's membership fee.
