Personally I hate PDF! half the stuff that comes out is barely readible - even with GW Micros fine efforts with Window-Eyes and MSAA in Acro Rat reader 6.0. The formats can vary so much and the reader can barely scrape the surface at times. That's why I dis like PDF so much. In Linux, there are some tools such as pdftotext that will convert PDF to ASCII text also.
