Someone would have to open those files in Kurzweil and save them as text files like Pam said or save them as brf files. That would also work. That's how I send my docs to the bp. But I never use kurzweil. I don't own the software myself because I'm poor and cheap, and usually I just grab stuff from bookshare. However, I got a bunch of books scanned in the copy center where I work (a small college) and they handed me a cd for each scanned book. When I plug it into my laptop, it comes up as a .kes software extension. I can't open that with anything and it won't transfer to bookport. I don't know if they used the wrong scanning software (I'm one of the first blindies to request services in a few eons I'm told) and I know nothing about kurzweil to save my own ass. I've read the manual a few times and I'm sure I'm missing something because everyone I know loves loves loves kurzweil. Does anyone have any idea what I should do, save google? If I google one more thing today I might have to gnaw on my arm. I'm all bookported out! - Jeanette ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
