[bookport] beta software?

Hi all,
I have a 4gb card and am finding the space used is misrepresented on the bp but
isn't when using the card in a reader.
I have been told this is fixed in the beta software.
1. How long before the official release fixing this problem is out?
2. how would I get the beta software?
I heard there was a list I could join or an address to send a request to?
