question for Larry:

When moving files to the flash card (bypassing the transfer software), is there advantages/disadvantages of using a card reader, versus leaving the card in the bookport?

You may wish to do a podcast on this but here are my summations.

1. If using an external card reader you save battery power on the bookport.

2. As the bookport is USB 1.0, you can get faster speed by using a USB 2.0 card reader.

Those are my ideas.

Actually, you can just copy unindexed mp3 files to the flash card.

Then use 1 and 3 for 2 second navigation, 4 and 6 for 10 seconds, 7 and
9 for 30 seconds, and 4+7 and 6+9 for one minute navigation.

It's my understanding, and I hope APH staff will correct this if it
needs
it, that you have to use the transfer software in order for the time
movement commands to work on un-indexed mp3 files like podcasts.
