Jacques:

Please check to be sure the unit is being recognized by the PC. You will be
able to tell by looking at the bp status in the Book Transfer.
Also, you may want to try reformatting the Compact Flash card or try a
different card. If it still cannot be updated, please let me know and I'll see
if the file is still up on the server and I will supply you with the direct
link and instructions.

Subject: [bookport] Firmware 1.2 won't update on original bookport

Hi.
I got hold of an original Bookport (not the plus) and am trying to get it
working.
When it starts up it says version 1.2.
I am running the latest Bookport Transfer on my Win 7.
When I plug the Bookport into the PC, a dialog pops up that says a firmware
update is required for the Bookport to read files transferred with this version
of the Bookport Transfer.
When I say ok, update, it seems to be checking online, and then after a while
it says no firmware updates are available.

It says the same when I explicitly check for updates from under Options >
Advanced.
I know the latest firmware is 2.3.
So why won't it update from version 1.2?

Any ideas?

Thank you much.

Jacques
