At this point, who cares. This could be debated for weeks or months without agreement. Just because one person calls it firmware and another calls it an operating system makes little difference. The point is that that system can be changed via installation of a new version of the computer code that controls the unit. So, let's stick to what changes can make the BookPort even better than it already is. So, I am wondering whether it would be worth considering the addition of *.ogg as a recognizable audio file type; since I understand that that file type is free, and I think it is open source?
